Bio

Sam Gordon is entering his third season as a member of the Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) baseball coaching staff. An alumnus of FSCJ, he played on the 2022–23 baseball team under Coach Frick. He currently serves as the hitting coach and base coach, and assists with the infielders, outfielders, and baserunners.

Prior to FSCJ, Gordon attended Tallahassee Community College from 2020 to 2022. Out of high school, he was committed to the State College of Florida, Sarasota-Manatee, but was unable to attend due to two shoulder surgeries on his throwing arm.

Gordon graduated from Calvary Christian High School in 2020, where he helped lead the Warriors to a 95–7 record, including two state championships. The team also set the Florida state record for most consecutive wins (60). He was ranked as the 91st overall prospect in Florida and the 22nd among outfielders. Gordon was also a WWBA World Champion in Jupiter as a member of the Florida Burn.

Born and raised in Dunedin, FL, Gordon is the son of Monique Duguay and the late Marvin Gordon III. He has two brothers, Bradley and Henry. He is currently finishing his bachelor's degree in Business Management at the University of North Florida and resides in St. Augustine, FL.
