Maison Turner Reaches 500 Career Assists Milestone
The Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) volleyball program proudly recognizes sophomore setter and two-year team captain Maison Turner for reaching a significant career milestone — surpassing 500 career assists — during the team's conference matchup against State College of Florida (SCF) on Saturday, October 11.
Since arriving at FSCJ, Turner has been the engine of the Manta Rays' offense, leading with composure, communication, and competitive drive. Her consistency and ability to orchestrate the game's tempo have made her a cornerstone of the program's success and identity.
Across 47 career matches and 145 sets, Turner has compiled an impressive stat line: 22 kills with a .189 hitting percentage, 515 assists, 211 digs, and 46 aces. These numbers reflect not only her technical versatility but also her value as a complete player who impacts every facet of the game.
Her 500th assist stands as more than a benchmark — it symbolizes countless hours of dedication, repetition, and teamwork. Turner's leadership, both vocal and by example, continues to elevate those around her and set the competitive standard for the Manta Rays.
Head Coach Chelsea Hinck commended Turner's achievement, stating:
"Maison is the definition of a leader — steady, selfless, and driven. She sets the tone for our team every day with her energy and discipline. Hitting this milestone is just another example of the standard she continues to raise for the Manta Rays."
